Thunchan Smaraka Samithi is a registered cultural institution of 40 years' standing and functioning in the capital city of Kerala in the name of Thunchatthu Ramanujan Ezhuthachan, widely respected as the Father of the Malayalam language and literature as well as of the culture of Kerala. We have a strong cultural wing, which has conducted many significant festivals high lightning and events. They include the recently held three day festival on Kerala's Musical Tradition in collaboration with the international organization called Samskriti. During its inaugural function the then 83 year old musical maestro Smt Parassala B Ponnammal was presented with the first Samskriti-Sangita Puraskaaram (Rs 1,11,111; memento, citation and ponnaada)

 

These programs are attended not only by the students, teachers and non-teaching employees of our constituent institutions, but also by the general public. One salient feature of all of them is introductory lectures given by competent resource persons.
